The Family Caregiver Support Program

Are You Caring For Someone 60 or Older?

 Are You A Grandparent Age 60 or Over Caring For A Grandchild Under The Age of 18?

If you answered Yes to either of these questions,

The Family Caregiver Program Is For You!

The Goal of the Program is:

  • To improve the health and well-being of family caregivers and
  • To recognize the expanding role they play in providing care in a home setting.

 SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Information about resources to help families in their caregiving roles;
  • Assistance to families in locating services from a variety of private and voluntary agencies;
  • Caregiver counseling, training, and peer support to help families cope with the emotional and physical stress of dealing with disabling effects of a family member's chronic condition;
  • Respite care to enable caregivers to be temporarily relieved from their caregiving responsibilities; and
  • Supplemental services, on a limited basis, to complement the care provided by caregivers.
