Family Caregiver Support Program

The Family Caregiver Support Program is dedicated to empowering the caregiver with information and resources to make their caregiver journey successful.

 

Who is a family caregiver?

 

v   A family caregiver is an adult who is caring for someone over the age of 60, or for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

v   Grandparents age 55+ and other relatives providing care to children under the age of 18.

v   Grandparents or relative caregivers who are age 55+ providing care for adult children with a disability who are between age 19 and 59.

 

 

If you are a caregiver, you might be interested in these services:

v   Information about available services and resources to help families in their caregiving roles.

v   Assistance to families in gaining access to services from public and private agencies.

v   Support to help families cope with the emotional and physical stress associated with caregiving.

v   Temporary respite for the caregiver provided by nursing assistants/aides in the home.

v   Limited supplemental services which may include home modifications such as ramps, grab bars, assistance devices and safety inspections.
